Kingfisher Sangha

Kingfisher Sangha is a mindfulness practice community in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, a Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, who resides in Plum Village, France.

As in the Methodist tradition, the Sangha, or community, welcomes all and celebrates diversity.  Many also belong to other faith communities.

The group has been meeting in the hearth room at EPUMC since July 2002.

Their practice includes meditation, studying the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, and sharing joys, struggles and pain with one another.

The Sangha has had a number of ministry projects, including helping an Iraqi family settle in Clifton Park, and a number of other community projects.
